I mentioned Make Something Day last week. It’s an alternative to Black Friday, and is a day to make a gift (or gifts) rather than buy them. I was determined to make something, anything, just to say I did. Since I enjoy paper crafts, I decided to make a card. The problem is, I had so many other things I needed to do, that the day got away from me. At 9:15 p.m., I finally sat down to make something. I made a snowman card.

Cute card! I had grand plans and only managed to achieve a few of them. I made some mittens from a felted wool sweater, for Matthew. They are kind of sad looking, but they keep his hands warm. I also tried making some of those wire wrapped ornaments CindyF mentioned on the S97 list, and they didn’t quite turn out as I’d been imagining but are okay. I also made dinner. :^) And I made a few more things over the weekend.

That’s so cute! I have a “thing” for snowmen. But you’re in Florida. Shouldn’t he have a little puddle under him?
I didn’t make anything on Make Something day, which is ironic, because I make something most days of the week! I went shopping instead, to buy stuff to make stuff.

Tracy, somehow I don’t think Make Something Day is for people like you who make stuff all the time.
I think it’s for slackers like me who always say they want to make something but never actually do it. Your blog inspires me, and I love seeing pictures of the cute stuff you make.
